The Five Rivers

The very name Panjab comes from the Persian words panj (five) and āb (waters): the Land of Five Rivers.

Many an ode has been written about these rivers. They have carried poets and pilgrims, lovers and travellers. They have nourished fields, shaped songs, and borne silent witness to centuries of history. Kingdoms have risen and fallen upon their banks, and yet they continue to flow as they always have.

This print is a tribute to the waters that gave Panjab its name.
