Jihne Lahore Nahi Vekhiya
They say, Jihne Lahore nahi vekhiya, oh jameya nahi, meaning: one who has not seen Lahore has not truly been born or lived.
An impossible exaggeration, perhaps, and yet, anyone who has wandered its narrow labyrinth of lanes, traced their fingers along its weathered walls, or inherited stories of its splendour knows why Panjab speaks of Lahore with such affection.
For some, it will always be the capital city of undivided Panjab from where the Sikh King, Ranjit Singh, ran his empire. For others, it is a city they have never known except through the stories of parents and grandparents.
This print is an ode to the charming city of Lahore.
